Following Moore’s law the electronic devices tend to become smaller and more potable, these portable devices should have their own source of power to operate. The most common battery choice for portable electronics today is Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer Batteries. While these Batteries have a very good charge density they are chemically unstable under harsh conditions hence care should be taken while charging them and using them.

In this project, I am going to Interface an Alcohol Sensor with #Arduino. Here I have designed an Arduino Shield PCB using EASYEDA online PCB simulator and designer. Arduino Alcohol Detectorwill detect the alcohol level in breath and by using some calculations in code we can calculate the alcohol level in breath or blood and can trigger some alarm.
The concept behind this Lie Detector Circuit is that, we assume when a person lie he kind of pumps up his anxiety level which makes him sweat and develop moisture on his skin. We then use this piece of circuit to detect if there is moisture on his skin and based on the result we glow and LED, a green one for truth and red for lie. Of course yes this cannot be claimed as a lie detector, but you can use this to play with your friends and have fun. More than that you get to learn stuff.

Here we are using Accelerometer ADXL335 to detect the pre-earthquake vibrations. Accelerometer ADXL335 is highly sensitive to shakes and vibrations along with all the three axes. Here we are building an Arduino based Earthquake Detector using Accelerometer.
We build a simple digital voltmeter
using a popular IC for voltage measurement namely ICL7107/CS7107. Using ICL7107, we can build accurate and very low cost voltmeter. ICL7107 is a 3.5 digit analog to digital converter (ADC) which consumes very low power. The IC has internal circuit for driving four seven segment display to display the measured voltage. It also has a clock circuit and a reference voltage source.
